Check Valve

The main function of a check valve is to protect the mechanical equipment in the pipeline system by preventing the backflow of the medium. It is particularly important for pumps and compressors because backflow can cause damage to the internal components of the equipment, leading to unnecessary shutdowns. In severe cases, it may even bring the entire factory to a standstill.

Generally speaking, check valves do not require manual operation. They achieve automatic operation through the reverse flow of the medium. However, in some special working conditions, the characteristic of its unidirectional flow has to change. To achieve the above purpose, a device that locks the shut-off member in the open position can be equipped on the check valve, or the shut-off member can be removed. The latter method requires disassembling the check valve, removing the shut-off member, and then reinstalling the valve.
